GIVING BACK TO THOSE WHO WANT NOTHING MORE THAN TO COME HOME.
I applied to become an affiliate photographer for Operation: Love ReUnited in April of 2015. It wasn't until the beginning of this year that I had people contacting me for an OpLove session. The organization is slowly growing and I am so happy to be a part of it. It is an honor to be able to provide service members and their families with these memories.
FROM THE OPLOVE WEBSITE:
"Operation: Love ReUnited is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that provides free professional photography sessions and photo gifts to our military families dealing with a deployment. We have photographers located world-wide, and we also have a branch in Australia covering their military persons.
OpLove was started in August of 2006 by Colorado photographer, Tonee Lawrence, and the organization was approved for its 501(c)3 status in February 2009. Over the last 7+ years, we have served thousands of military families across the globe, as well as set up the OpLove Scholarshipfund and the Sgt. Soto Memorial Fund.
Our mission is to boost the morale of our deployed service members through photography. The organization helps those long months go by a little faster by capturing the moments that you will long remember and always treasure. It's art. It's love. It's all made possible by artists wanting to give something back to those who make our country what it is, and ask for nothing in return but for these brave men and women to come back home."
If you are interested in having an Operation: Love ReUnited session, please visit the Session Request portion of the OpLove website and fill out an application. This must be done on a computer.
